Water Restoration

What sets the Vortex Drying System apart from the accepted standards of drying structure?

  • The Vortex Drying System (VDS) is a system for drying structures.  Step by step, from start to finish it covers every area involved in how a job should be done.

To better understand it's effectiveness, one must first learn it's purpose:

  • To completely dry the structure, regardless of class or category l, ll,or lll and to dry the structure as rapidly as possible with the objective of minimizing replacement costs to the structure and contents.  There are many major differences, with intricate reasons behind them, which answer the questions of why it works better.  But from an insurers perspective, here's how they stack up:

1.       The first difference is EFFECTIVENESS.

Most companies think that if they simply put equipment on a job, that it has to dry.  And while it is true that wet will always go to dry if it can, taking this approach might take a while.  The VDS will COMPLETELY dry the structure...PERIOD.  No matter what kind of water damage it is:  Black, Gray of Clean, or how much water there is:  Class l, 2, 3, or 4 the system will be utilized on EVERY drying job to completely dry the structure.  VDS companies have been trained to inspect all components of a structure to check for moisture, and have been educated in the best ways to dry them.  Whether it is sheetrock, flooring, sub-flooring, plaster, structural wood or crawlspaces, when a VDS company pulls their equipment off the job, it will be dry.

2.       The second difference is SPEED

When utilizing the Vortex Drying System, it should be possible to dry most structures in 72 hours.  However, some materials take in water slower than others, and release it slower as well...so they take longer to dry.  Regardless, a Vortex Company will be done while other companies are still "drying."  What you can be assured of with VDS companies is the fact that the structure:  will be completely dry, as rapidly as possible, with a minimization of replacement costs to both structure and contents.

It doesn't mean that a VDS Company will never have to be invasive on a job, or that there will never be repairs.  If it is necessary to make structural alterations in order to get to the water, they MUST be done.  Yet, even when these events occur you still have to DRY the structure.

Where drying is concerned, on the average, the Vortex Drying System is twice as fast (2 to 3 days faster) than conventional restorative drying methods.

In some situations, wet areas are unreachable with dry air.  By using injection systems, we are able to deliver dry air and rapidly dry wall cavities, ceilings, cabinets, etc., by the proper placement of injected air.   Wall drying can become problematic due to certain wall coverings, non porous paints, and enclosed insulation.
